Busy wknd when hubby is away!

I never seem to get bored when Lauri is gone. I always find too much to do is more like my problem..then everything suffers at home. But one positive outcome was that I did get my closets cleaned.  Had a garage sale with Lori and her girls. Sunburned my face.  Sold 3/4 of my stuff and the rest went straight to Goodwill.  Nothing came back! Yes!  Derek and I were gone from 7 am to 730 pm by the time we went thru drive through for supper. Yuck, but DQ was the closet and best shot in pinch. Regret.  Oh well, got home and took a 15 minute power nap. Texted another friend...coffee time down the road at Intermission. So off I went...stayed out until 11 pm...sigh..will I learn. NO.  I was exhausted.

Sunday morning I decided to have a day for us to have a last fling before school starts and before everyone is home. Derek and I have been wanting to do it all summer. So, along with his buddy Tyler Byman, away we went to Portland for the day to OMSI.  We saw an awesome film on "Deep Sea". I do have to admit, I jumped a few times in my seat. Luckily I didn't scream!!!!!  And then played all day long in the science center.  It is sooo fun! I'll post some pics.

Lauri belted out of town early Saturday morning to Minnesota for relaxation and fun until Wed. Lucky duck!

Procrastination Week

The sun is shining today. Therefore, I shall not be inside this house. It is 85 F and it is suppose to reach 90 again today. Nobody at home.  I really should finish up going through closets and whatnot that I started last week and left them in heaps all over the house.  But, hey, so what, I have a book to finish and I know the beach is waiting for me again. Now I need to go make my iced coffee that I am sooo hooked on.....ta dah for now. See ya latah.

Thinking.

Hmm, maybe I should read up on it, instead of guessing how to do it. Now I am starting to sound like my hubby. Don't all males try it, test it, fix it, try it, mutter and sputter, and then wonder if they should read the directions?  Had an awesome afternoon on the beach by myself!  Now I don't know when I have that done that by myself...been years.  It actually got to 90 F today.  We have had probably about 5 days of hot weather this summer.  Another idea, maybe I'll start a book section on here.  Any of you readers?
